I still am not comfortable crocheting anything other than simple things, so I don't have a good color work crochet tutorial to share.
I like to place two stitch markers on one side of the pattern and one on the other to give me a guideline for where I'm at and which direction to go in. The double line and single line on the charts is where I put the stitch markers while making the scarf.
